Frankfurt Stocks Seen Lower; Weak Earnings — Market Talk

0628 GMT Germany’s DAX is indicated 0.2% lower at 10,676 by Deutsche Bank after a flurry of earnings releases early Wednesday, incluing some weak numbers. E.ON reported a EUR3.03 billion net loss for the first half of the year due to an impairment charge on its Uniper unit. Traders expect Air Berlin shares to decline after the airline’s loss more than doubled in the second quarter amid shrinking revenue. Hapag-Lloyd swung to a loss before interest and tax in the first half of the year due to declining freight rates. Salzgitter backed its full-year guidance amid a second-quarter profit which was just below consensus. Lanxess shares are up pre-market after the chemicals maker raised its forecast for full-year adjusted Ebitda.
