0235 GMT [Dow Jones] Indonesia’s palm oil stocks fell 7.9% in June, even though production picked up somewhat and are now half what they were at the start of the year, according to the Indonesian Palm Oil Association, or Gapki. The association said end-June stocks were 1,803,000 tons, down from 1,958,000 tons in the prior month. It adds that production picked up with 2,687,000 tons of palm oil during the month, but that “output in 2016 is lower than expected” and as these conditions persist, “stockpiles for the next few months ahead will be tighter,” says Gapki.
