Mexican Stocks Close Higher; Peso Slips on Oil — Market Talk

16:31 ET – The IPC index of leading stocks rose 0.2% to 45,394 points with cement maker Cemex (CEMEX.MX) shares up 3.3% and retailer Wal-Mart de Mexico (WALMEX.MX) shares closing 0.8% higher. The peso gave back early gains and was weaker at 18.8310 to the US dollar compared with 18.7665 late Wednesday as oil prices fell to their lowest level since early May. (anthony.harrup[a]wsj.com)
